Dead Confederate-their singer was possibly one of the sweetest guys I've ever met. Their show was an incredible escape from the typical musical fare that tends to fill a venue on a lonely Sunday night. Definitely a band to check out!
Alberta Cross, traveling from Brooklyn, NY, managed to make a quick pit stop in sunny San Diego's own Belly Up Tavern for a hypnotizing night of melody. Their singer, originally from Sweden, but growing up mostly in London, belted out vocals that I pinpointed as a fabulous medley between Band of Horses and Circa Survive. A massive sound capable of falling into and drowning in it's fullness. And YAY for the NEW LOGO!
